Plain Language Summary:
Follow-up care for children who have had a blood clot varies widely around the world. In this international survey, many healthcare providers did not routinely monitor children long term for complications that can develop after a clot, and only a minority of treatment centers had dedicated clinics for these patients.
The findings highlight the need for clear, standardized guidelines to improve long-term care and help prevent complications in children with blood clots.
