A short interview with Sanjay Ahuja, MD - Pediatric Hematologist
What do you like about IHTC and its approach to care?
The patient is at the center of all we do. I admire the patient-centered approach, which is compassionate, kind, and up-to-date with access to the state-of-the-art therapies in the field.
What inspires you about your work?
How patients with life-long chronic bleeding and clotting disorders deal with their disorders; taking it all in their stride, achieving so much despite all the obstacles these disorders put in their way. Our ability to make a positive difference in their lives is what drives us every single day.
What do you hope to accomplish for patients?
We hope to improve their quality of life, and give them access to curative therapies either as part of research studies or as standard of care treatments so they can live their best life.
