Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) can cause frequent nosebleeds and gastrointestinal bleeding that may lead to anemia and the need for blood transfusions or iron treatments. In this study, six patients with moderate-to-severe HHT-related bleeding were treated with pazopanib, an oral medication that targets abnormal blood vessel growth. Patients experienced improved hemoglobin levels and needed fewer iron infusions and blood transfusions. The findings suggest that pazopanib could be a useful option for patients whose bleeding is not adequately controlled with standard therapies.
